Wonderful family retreat

Family from Malibu California

We Stayed at the Sea Parrot during CELTIC COLOURS
The service and hosts were the best..
Daily breakfast was amazing and our children had a great time as well. The evening dips in the hot-tub were a relaxing experience under the stars and a romantic time for my husband and myself, while the chldren had movie time in our unit.
Thiswas a great family vacation we will all not soon forget, especially due to the detail of attention given by our hosts Roy & Lonnie
We will definitelty revisit the Sea Parrot again.

We can't really add too much more to what has already been written here. The place is great - right on the ocean, great views. The hosts are very helpful and forthcoming with information, and recommendations. Breakfast was great. Location is great as well - for both Baddeck and the Cabot Trail. Clearly, they want folks to have a great experience and come back again. We stayed in the Nautical Room which was huge, with a seating area, kitchen area and little balcony. Unfortunately we had rainy weather, so we didn't get a chance to sit out there, or on one of the many chairs on their large lawn, which runs down to the water. We could have stayed longer, and would go back.
Worth a stay

Situated at the start of the Cabot Trail, is this lovely sea facing B&B/ Manor.

The hosts are just wonderful and could not be friendlier if they tried. The accomodation in the carriage house ( there are three rooms in this part of the manor) are decorated thematically and, if not luxurious, they are extremely clean and comfortable with some nice touches- good reading material ( even in the bathroom!), tea/ coffee and enough utensils and crockery to heat a simple meal in the microwave. The fridge is stocked with water bottles for your use. Laundry facilites are available and there is free wi- fi internet service, should you require it. The floors of the rooms are tiled, and they need more rugs to make the room warmer. A table next to each side of the bed with a lamp, would also be a nice touch. There is a futon in the living area, which can be used for extra guests/ children. Plentiful coloured towels in the bathroom and shampoo etc there for your use.

Breakfast is served in the main house ( which also includes two more B&B rooms), and you can pretty much order whatever you wish. The owners have 6 adorable little dogs, that provide guests with great entertainment, especially if you are an animal lover.

The property is very well kept and has stunning sea vistas and its own little beach area. There are also about six large self- catering cottages for families, which are well equipped and would make for an amazing family holiday.

“Nice base for exploring Cape Breton”
FIVE STARS RATED

Lexington, MA

My family of four stayed in one of the Sea Parrot cottages for a few nights during our August Nova Scotia vacation. The cottage was very new and up-to-date, and had everything we needed, even a washer and dryer. We had our own walkway down to the ocean and our own gazebo which was lovely for dining by the water. We liked that the beach was very quiet --often there were no other people in sight! Lonnie was always available to answer questions and had great recommendations. If you stay here, be sure to get her advice on all of the Cape Breton activities and restaurants.

OMG! where does one begin...

Lonnie and Roy are gracious, warm inviting hosts....her breakfasts are to die for....eggs, waffles, french toast, fruit, baking, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices...

We had the most wonderful 5 night stay. The property is on the ocean...with room to roam..and have your own space. I spent my days lying in the hammock...reading my book, and watching the grey seals swimming and feeding in the ocean. You can walk for miles along the rocky shore without a soul in sight.

Smaller then a resort, bigger then a B&B...soak on the hot tub...sit by the fire....you can bring your pup too...they have a kennel...you'll never want to leave...

Make sure to go have lunch or dinner up the road at the Clucking Hen. Home cooking. Just perfect.

We spent two nights at the Sea Parrot Oceanview Manor. This B&B consists of five suites and two one-bedroom cottages, all with great ocean views. The hosts are gracious and attentive to every detail. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit, homemade breads, and cooked to order entrees, including blueberry pancakes and belgian waffles. You can spend your days lying in a hammock and enjoying the ocean breeze, or exploring Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Considering the other accomodations available in Cape Breton, this B&B is an excellent value.
